The Southern Cross District High P&C Association is a small, productive network of parents who continually strive to raise much needed funds for our school to provide equipment needed to benefit its students. All families at the SCDHS are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the P&C meetings and activities. The P&C is always looking for new faces with new ideas to join our Association.
Our 2025 Committee is:
President: Nicole Twine
Vice President: Jenna Christie
Secretary: Shelley Caldwell
Treasurer: Shona Thomson
Uniform Coordinator: Bianca Bradford
The next meeting date is to be advised. All parents welcome.
If you are interested in volunteering for the P&C please register your interest at the front office or call 08 9048 9000.
Since becoming an Independent Public School, the Southern Cross DHS School Board has played a vital role in setting the future direction of our school. Meeting twice a term, they oversee budgeting and strategic priorities, and contribute to the review of school data. The Board consists of two parent, two staff and three community members.
Our current School Board is:
Board Chair/Community Member: Nic Warren
Community Member: Cameron Watson
Parent Member: Laura Della Bosca
Parent Member: Rebecca Guerini
Parent Member: Bianca Bradford
Staff Member: Janine Dal Busco
Staff Member: Louise Davidson
If you are a parent interested in becoming a Board member, please contact us at the front office on 08 9048 9000.
Our community is made up of many diverse industries including mining and agriculture, and families of whom several have been in the district for generations. Our school recognises that parents and the broader community play a vital role in supporting our initiatives and intentions.
Southern Cross District High School has forged strong links with the community through partnerships with the local Shire, businesses, mining companies, sporting organisations and neighbouring schools. These partnerships are strengthened through our staff, many of whom play an active role in the broader community, in a variety of capacities.
Southern Cross offers a range of relaxing activities and opportunities for most people living in the community. Further information about what is on offer in Southern Cross can be found on the Shire of Yilgarn website.
